A major Canadian retail chain has completed its expansion of local chain Jack’s Pets.
Canadian company Pet Valu finalized the deal to buy Beavercreek Township-based Jack’s Pets, a pet supply retailer with 32 stores and 400 employees, making it one of the largest locally-based retailers. We first told you about the acquisition at the beginning of the year.
Terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed. However, Jack’s Pets has become the Midwest division of Pet Valu, and Jack’s Pets president Scott Brenner has been named vice president of Midwest Operations for Pet Valu.
Pet Valu said it wants to triple the number of locations, to 100 stores.
