Vaughan, York Region based Aastra Partners with Dell OEM Solutions to Provide Off-the-Shelf UC Solutions, MX-ONE and Aastra 700 will now be pre-Installed on Dell servers
The Aastra MX-ONE® and Aastra 700 are now available as turnkey solutions, pre-installed on Dell servers, making voice and unified communications deployments even simpler and faster.
With all applications on single servers, the partnership with Aastra and Dell also enables customers to have a small footprint and lower energy consumption, with fewer servers on the network. For example, larger customers can have up to 15,000 MX-ONE users on a single Dell server.
With the Aastra 700, an all-in-one SIP-based UCC solution for SMEs, the communication server and UCC applications are pre-loaded in a virtualised environment. Aastra has an Embedded OEM agreement with VMware allowing it to deliver VMware vSphere®, the industry-leading virtualisation platform, as part of the UCC solution. Dell servers are compliant with the VMware Hardware Compatibility List (HCL), making Dell an ideal partner for Aastra.
According to Edin Hadzialic, Head of R&D for MX-ONE at Aastra, “We have always been impressed with the performance of Dell servers and are delighted that our customers and partners can now benefit from the efficiency and reduced installation time from having our call manager and applications pre-installed on them. Like Aastra, Dell has a global presence and high quality, reliable, scalable products – ideal for virtualised or office-based environments. We are already seeing orders coming in for the pre-installed servers. ”
Dermot O’Connell, OEM EMEA General Manager at Dell commented, “Dell is really pleased to be entering into a new and exciting phase of our business relationship with Aastra. Our servers are designed to deliver value and performance in demanding enterprise and mainstream environments. Through innovations such as embedded systems management tools and customization such as pre-installing Aastra’s MX-ONE and Aastra 700 solutions, Dell OEM Solutions is empowering customers to maximize both infrastructure and energy efficiency.”
All Dell servers which are pre-installed with Aastra’s communication servers and applications come with Dell’s full warranty. This enables Aastra customers to benefit from Dell’s worldwide support structure, offering same-day service anywhere in the world should any issues arise.
Aastra’s MX-ONE is sold in over 130 countries. By integrating voice, video and data with mobility capabilities, the MX-ONE is a full-featured communication server. With its fully distributed architecture, the MX-ONE solution can be deployed in a centralized or distributed fashion, for one system or a multiple networked system across hundreds of geographically dispersed locations, with scalability from 300 to 500,000 users.
